Hibernian target Luke McCowan is now in Glasgow as Celtic finalise a £1m deal to sign him, according to the Edinburgh News.

Dundee have been tested by Hibs for their skipper McCowan all summer but they have stood strong.

Hibernian made four different bids for the Scottish midfielder and the latest of them was today, which was also rejected by Dundee.

Celtic have been keeping a close eye on McCowan’s situation but did not make a bid for the Scot until tonight.

Now it has been suggested that Brendan Rodgers is set to his hands on the Dundee star man.

The Scottish sides are currently discussing the final details of the deal for the 26-year-old, it has been suggested.

Hibs offered £800,000, but Celtic have put over £1m on the table and McCowan is now in Glasgow to complete the move.

The Bhoys will be looking to wrap the formalities of the deal very quickly to secure the Scot’s capture on deadline day.
