A Dutch deadline day move to Ajax for Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen has been ruled out.

Eriksen was widely tipped to move on from Manchester United this summer, but as the English window closed, he was still at Old Trafford.

He got on off the bench for Manchester United in their 3-0 home Premier League loss against Liverpool on Sunday.

Still there has been talk though of a possible move to Ajax, with the Dutch window remaining open until later today.

Now though Eriksen’s agent has put paid to those thoughts.

“We can end that speculation”, agent Martin Schoots told Dutch magazine Voetbal International.

Eriksen will be staying at Manchester United at least until the start of the January transfer window, which will give him his next opportunity to move.

Until then the Dane will be looking to force his way into the side on a regular basis under Dutchman Erik ten Hag.
