Bradford City new boy Jay Benn has revealed that he is looking forward to playing in front of a packed Valley Parade.

Benn joined the Bantams on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan from League One outfit Lincoln City.

He made his debut on Tuesday night against Newcastle United’s Under-21 side in an EFL Trophy clash, which the young Magpies won on penalties.

Benn even provided an assist to Andy Cook against the young Magpies last night which saw them take a 2-1 lead in the 76th minute.

The Bantams will face Carlisle United this weekend at home and Benn insisted that he is very eager to experience a packed Valley Parade first-hand.

“Look what I know about the stadium is, a massive amount of fans that come, how loud they are and their passion for the club”, Benn told the Bantams’ in-house media about the Valley Parade crowd.

“To witness that first-hand, I am looking forward to it.”

Graham Alexander’s men will be looking to get back to winning ways against Carlisle as they bid to push for a good start to the League Two campaign.
