A club have now ‘made an official offer’ for one of Newcastle United’s stars as they look to snap him up.

Eddie Howe cannot now add to his Newcastle squad after the window in England closed and ended up without being able to land Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.

Players though could still leave and Kieran Trippier has fallen down the pecking order this season with only one appearance in the Premier League so far.

It is suggested that Trippier is unhappy with his situation at Newcastle and wants regular football.

Trippier has suitors in Turkey and with the Turkish transfer window open, he has a chance to get a move away from St. James’ Park.

Istanbul Basaksehir are one of the clubs showing interest in taking the English international to Turkey.

And according to Turkish out Sports Digitale they have now ‘made an official offer’ for the defender.

The right-back has two years left on his contract with the Magpies and it is still unclear whether Howe will let the player leave.

Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce and Besiktas are also said to be in the mix to land the former Atletico Madrid star.

Now it remains to be seen whether a move to Turkey is on the cards for Trippier this summer.
