Derby County boss Paul Warne has revealed that Crystal Palace loan star David Ozoh will be out of action for five to six weeks.
The 19-year-old defensive midfielder joined Derby County on loan from Crystal Palace this summer and has high expectations attached to him as he is highly rated at Selhurst Park.
However, last weekend Ozoh was forced to leave the field in the second half during the game against Cardiff City due to an injury.
Warne revealed that the Crystal Palace loanee will be out of action for at least five or six weeks, in which case he will be available after the next international break.
The Derby boss believes that Ozoh will be disappointed to miss upcoming games as he was performing really well.
When asked about Ozoh’s injury status, Warne told Derby County’s in-house media: “I think five to six weeks.
“The worst case is pretty good for us, and with an international break it will probably be four, maybe five games.
“Injuries happen all the time.
“I am not going to weep about or moan about it; it’s the next man up, like, let’s see what’s happening.
“But it is disappointing for him because he was playing really well, but that is the nature of the game.”
Ozoh featured seven times for Derby in all competitions before he suffered the injury and will be focused on recovering from the injury.
