MK Dons have an ‘expectation’ that a deal can be reached for Crawley Town boss Scott Lindsey to take over, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Dons are currently without a manager after Mike Williamson left to take over at Carlisle United.

They have now zeroed in on the man they would like to take charge and he is currently the boss of League One outfit Crawley.

Crawley manager Lindsey led the side to promotion from League Two through the playoffs last term.

MK Dons are now working on a deal to appoint him and have an ‘expectation’ that a deal can be pushed over the line.

Lindsey, 52, had a spell in charge of Swindon Town before he took over at Crawley last year.

He had a lengthy playing career in non-league as a midfielder and has since flourished as a manager.

MK Dons currently sit in 19th spot in the League Two table and are next in action away at Bromley this coming weekend.
