Juventus manager Antonio Conte has warned his men of the challenge from Fiorentina, who will be out looking for revenge, as the two Italian teams face each other in the first leg of their last 16 round of the Europa League at the Juventus Stadium today.

The White-Blacks, leading the Serie A table, defeated Vincenzo Montella’s side 1-0 last weekend, and the Viola will be keen to make things even as they take on Conte’s men in the European competition.

The 44-year-old Italian has insisted his players must be wary of Fiorentina who, out of contention for the Italian title, will be able to focus all their energies on the Europa League, while Juventus will be aiming for a title double.

“We’ll be up against a fierce Fiorentina side who will want to go through. Their domestic situation means they’ll be focusing all their efforts exclusively on these two games. We, on the other hand, are gunning for a great target in what would be the club’s third consecutive Scudetto”, Conte was quoted as saying by Juventus’ site.

“But we’re also aiming to continue our journey in Europe. The Europa League is a wonderful competition and, although it won’t be easy, going all the way would be very important for our development as a group.

“It would give added international experience to a group that, aside from a few players, possesses very little on the European stage”, the former midfielder said.
