Juan Mata has sought to rally Manchester United fans following the side's 3-0 defeat at home against Liverpool yesterday.
The English champions, who fielded £37.1m man Mata, were comprehensively beaten by their bitter rivals at Old Trafford, Liverpool easing to a 3-0 victory.

The defeat virtually ended any chance Manchester United have of finishing this season in a top four Premier League spot, but Mata has urged the club's fans to have faith.
"The storm will pass and the sun will rise again. I have no doubt", he wrote on his personal blog.

"Besides, no one said this would be easy, but this is football. It gives you fantastic moments but also very hard times you have to cope with, when you have to show pride and professionalism until the end", he added.
Mata also struck a bemused note, insisting that the week's training in the lead-up to the match had been positive for the Red Devils.
"I have to say that our week at the training ground had been good and we were very hopeful ahead of this derby", explained the Spaniard.
"However, the day of the match everything went bad. It was a tough defeat and I want to tell you that we will give everything we have in order to forget about this in the remaining games."
