And Suarez, who bagged a hat-trick against the Bluebirds, was delighted with his side’s performance at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The Uruguayan international further added that Liverpool were aware of leaders Chelsea’s 6-0 thrashing of Arsenal earlier in the day, but the former Ajax man insisted that his side were focused on their own game.

Similarly, Suarez wants the Merseyside giants to solely concentrate on their upcoming fixture against Sunderland on Wednesday.

"We are in a really good moment now", Suarez told his club’s official site.

"We know that in the last few games we have played very well and that's why I am so happy with this performance. We will keep calm, because we know the Premier League is so difficult.

"We'll keep going for the next game and all the focus will be on having a really good game against Sunderland.

"We knew the Chelsea result, but we focused and concentrated on our game. We knew that we had played very well in the last few games."

Suarez's Liverpool hat-trick against Cardiff was his sixth and helped him to match Kop legend Robbie Fowler’s club Premier League record of 28 strikes in a season.
