Edin Dzeko has concluded the Manchester derby was all about Manchester City this evening as they eased to a 3-0 win at Old Trafford against Manchester United.

Manchester City made a lightening start against their bitter rivals, with a slick passing move carving Manchester United open to let Dzeko score in the very first minute of the match.

Manchester United did finish the first half with their tails up, but Manchester City again dominated in the second period and put the gloss on their domination with further goals from Dzeko again (56th minute) and Yaya Toure (90th minute).

And Dzeko was delighted with how his team took the game by the scruff of the neck and bossed proceedings.

"We just wanted to start from the first minute to press them high and score an early goal which we did", the Bosnian told Sky Sports.

"Then it was all about us", Dzeko beamed.

"We scored another two in the second half so we have to be happy.

"This game was very important for us. Now we are only three points behind Chelsea and this can be crucial at the end of the season."

Manchester City have now moved up to second in the Premier League and boast 66 points from 29 games, three behind Chelsea, although Jose Mourinho's men have played two games more.
