Manchester United manager David Moyes is convinced that Bayern Munich will miss Bastian Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez in the return leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday 9th April.

Martinez picked up his second yellow card in as many matches when he brought Javier Hernandez to the ground on Tuesday. Schweinsteiger meanwhile received his first booking for a challenge from behind on Michael Carrick, and received his second booking and was subsequently sent off for a late challenge on Wayne Rooney during the dying minutes of the game. Both players are suspended for the second leg in Munich.

“We'll have to try to take advantage of it.

“We have to go there and play as well as we did tonight, even more so because we have to go there and win the game or at least get a goal. I am confident we can do that.”
