Iago Aspas has revealed that he wants to quit Liverpool in the summer due to a lack of playing time at Anfield.

But Aspas has struggled to earn minutes on the pitch given Liverpool's prolific strikeforce of Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.

And the 26-year-old believes he is too old to play second fiddle on the bench, with a move elsewhere now his desire.

"I'm not 20 years old anymore, I can't go on loan and explode", he said to FTBpro.

The Spaniard has managed only 13 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, with eight of those coming from the bench.

He has not scored in the league, but has hit the back of the net in a single FA Cup appearance.
