Alexander Buttner’s agent believes that the writing was on the wall for his client after the club appointed Louis van Gaal as their new manager.

Buttner arrived at Old Trafford in 2012 from Vitesse but has failed to make his mark at the club.

The Dutch left-back made only 28 appearances for the Red Devils in the last two seasons and is all set to join Dynamo Moscow this summer.

Buttner also aired his grievances against Van Gaal earlier today and now his agent, Alexander Bursac, has echoed the same feelings.

“In the past two years Van Gaal has ignored him as the head coach of Holland,” Bursac told Voetbal International.

“What prospects does Buttner have with him as Manchester United’s manager?”

Buttner’s agent also said that with Patrice Evra’s contract renewal and talk of signing a new left-back, the time was right for his client to move.

“Especially now that Patrice Evra has re-signed with the club and talk of Luke Shaw arriving, staying at Manchester United is not an option.”

Buttner is poised to join Dynamo Moscow on a three-year deal and is set to undergo a medical today.
