AS Roma are eyeing a deal for out-of-favour Manchester City full-back Micah Richards.

Richards, who made only ten appearances for Manchester City last season, has only one year left on his contract with the club.

A combination of injuries and poor performances have led to the 26-year-old losing his spot in the English champions’ starting eleven.

And Manchester City are willing to offload the defender this summer and are waiting for an acceptable offer for Richards.

Roma are eyeing a cut-price deal for the full-back and are assessing options to sign the England international, according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.

An offer of around €5m has been mooted as enough to lead to the English champions sanctioning Richards’ sale this summer.

The 26-year-old is a product of Manchester City’s youth academy and has made 246 appearances for the club.
