Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski has revealed that the Bavarian giants have an insatiable appetite for goals because of which they attack relentlessly no matter the score.
Pep Guardiola’s side have scored 14 goals in their last two Bundesliga fixtures. They put eight past Hamburg on 14th February and then six past Paderborn in their last league outing.
The reigning Bundesliga champions have scored a league-leading 59 goals so far, 11 more than their nearest rivals Wolfsburg. At other end of the pitch Bayern Munich have conceded only nine goals, the fewest in the league, as a result they have taken a commanding eight-point lead at the top of the table.
Guardiola is known for promoting an attacking brand of football in his teams and Lewandowski feels that his side's insatiable appetite for goals make them keep looking for more.
“We always want lots of goals, regardless of the score at the time”, he told the club website in an interview.
