Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed he kissed midfielder Ander Herrera at half-time because he was so delighted with the first goal the Spaniard scored against Aston Villa today.
Herrera scored Manchester United's first goal in their 3-1 win over Tim Sherwood's side at Old Trafford, in the process further strengthening their grip on a top four spot.
The Spaniard has been told to score more goals by Van Gaal, who has been working with him on the training pitch to ensure he can take his chances when they arise.
And the fact he did pleased Van Gaal no end, with the Dutchman unable to contain his emotions at the interval.
Van Gaal told MUTV: "[Herrera] has a very good kicking technique and he should only be more composed.

"I said to him 'you have to control the ball before you shoot'.
"I said that to him again in yesterday's training session, and then I kissed him at half-time because he had controlled the ball for the first time in his life and then he shot!
"But then I came after the second half to him and he said 'without control I can do it also!"
Herrera's first goal came in the 43rd minute when he got on the end of a Daley Blind cutback to drill the ball into the back of the net and put the Red Devils ahead.
And the Spaniard's second, a side-footed finish in the 90th minute, truly killed off Aston Villa, claiming all three points for Van Gaal's men.
