Former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has signed a one-year contract with Feyenoord to book a return to Rotterdam as he winds down his career.

Kuyt currently turns out for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, who he joined from Liverpool, but sees his contract in Istanbul come to an end at the end of the season.

Kuyt has been keen to return to his homeland, with former club Feyenoord, where he is a cult figure for the club's fans, top of his list of clubs to link up with, despite interest from Ronald Koeman at Southampton.

Now Kuyt has put pen to paper on a one-year contract to return to Feyenoord for next season.

The Dutchman turned out for Feyenoord between 2003 and 2006, before moving on to link up with English giants Liverpool.
