Former Leeds United starlet Jonny Howson feels that his old club boast a clutch of talented youngsters who, if kept together, could help the Whites earn promotion to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old midfielder was developed in the youth ranks at Leeds, but was sold by the Whites to Norwich City in 2012.
Howson was back at Elland Road earlier this week for a Championship clash and scored as Norwich ran out 2-0 winners over Leeds, continuing the Whites' poor recent run.
But the former Leeds man is in no doubt about the quality of the youngsters at his old club and also feels head coach Neil Redfearn is the right man to get the best out of them.
And if that happens, Howson feels Leeds have a genuine shot at promotion to the Premier League.

"Looking at the side now from the outside there's a lot of potential in this side", he told BBC Radio Leeds.
"You look at some of these lads coming through. They've obviously got a great man in charge, that I know, and for me there's no better guy for bringing these young lads through and it's not a case of he's put the young lads in – they've all got talent.
"Potential wise, if they can stick together for the next couple of seasons, they've got a good chance [of promotion]", the Morley-born midfielder concluded.
Howson meanwhile could be playing Premier League football next season with Norwich currently sitting second in the Championship table with just three games left to play.
In a tight race they lead third placed Watford on goal difference, while fourth placed Middlesbrough are just one point behind.
