Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood feels his side outplayed Liverpool in their FA Cup semi-final tie at Wembley this afternoon.
Sherwood's men ran out 2-1 winners on the day after controlling the match and coming from behind to put Brendan Rodgers' side to the sword.
Liverpool scored through Philippe Coutinho in the 30th minute, but Aston Villa levelled the game through Christian Benteke only six minutes later.
Rodgers threw on Mario Balotelli at half time, but Aston Villa stayed in control and went ahead through Fabian Delph.
Balotelli had what appeared a good goal ruled out for offside and Liverpool could find no equaliser, slipping to a 2-1 defeat and going out of the FA Cup, while Aston Villa will now meet Arsenal in the final on 30th May.
