Athletic Bilbao are keen to offer Everton target Inaki Williams a fresh contract, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The winger, whose current contract with Athletic Bilbao is due to expire in 2017, has a buyout clause of €20m; and it is believed that the Spanish club want to double it in addition to significantly increasing the player’s salary.
The increased buyout clause is expected to ward off interest from several Premier League clubs, especially Everton, whose scout Jesus Seba has diligently followed the 21-year-old.
Williams, who is a product of the club’s youth system, also insisted that a fresh contract is on the cards.
“It will all be resolved soon”, he was quoted as saying on Spanish radio show El Larguero.
