Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has insisted that he is aware of the supporters’ displeasures over his tactics, following his side’s 1-0 win over CSKA Moscow in a Champions League fixture last night.

The fans booed Van Gaal’s decision to substitute striker Anthony Martial for midfielder Marouane Fellaini in the 66th minute with the score level at 0-0.

Although Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the match 13 minutes later to hand Manchester United the full three points, it was the club’s first in 404 minutes.

And Van Gaal, who explained that he was aware of the fans’ unhappiness over the club’s lacklustre displays, was however quick to add that the unhappiness of the supporters will be gone soon.

"I'm not deaf”, he said via his club's site.
