Manchester United starlet Andreas Pereira has hailed his side’s important Champions League win over CSKA Moscow last night.

After three back-to-back goalless stalemates, Manchester United recorded an important win over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford and took a giant stride towards the last 16 of the Champions League.

While the goals still refused to flow, Wayne Rooney’s header in the 79th minute was enough to secure all three points, which took them to the top of Group B, ahead of PSV Eindhoven who won last night against Wolfsburg in the Netherlands.

Though he remained an unused substitute last night, the Brazil Under-23 international is pleased with the win and is delighted with the club’s position in their Champions League group.

Pereira took to Twitter and wrote: “Happy with win!

“Nice goal by Wayne Rooney…and we are on top of the Champions League group!”

A win over PSV Eindhoven at Old Trafford later this month could more or less guarantee a berth in the last 16 for Manchester United, but their attention will turn towards their league form this weekend.

After two draws in a row, Manchester United will look to put West Brom to the sword at home on Saturday and go into next week’s international break a much happier side.
