Manchester United youngster Jesse Lingard has revealed that his immediate aim is to be in and around the bench or even starting matches for Louis van Gaal's team.
The young midfielder has been on the pitch for his side's last four matches against Everton, Manchester City, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion, impressing with his performances every time.
Lingard in fact managed to score his maiden goal for the Red Devils during his side's match against the Baggies this weekend, winning the match 2-0 in the end.
The sparks of form he has shown over the last few weeks have also helped catch the eye of the manager, who has heaped praise on the youngster, stressing his desire to see the youngster continue with his recent form.
And Lingard on his part does not want to disappoint, insisting that his aim for now will be to continue with his stint with the senior side.

“I want to keep being in and around the bench and coming on, hopefully even starting games”, Lingard told his club's official website.
“That is my main aim now.
“It definitely gives us a lot of confidence to be playing for Manchester United as a youngster, and, as long as you keep working, you are always going to get your chance.
"Obviously, I’ve still got to be humble and keep my feet on the ground. I’ve not made it yet. There is a long way to go and I’ve still got to work hard on the training pitch to keep my place in the team.”
