Liverpool striker Divock Origi is aware that Jurgen Klopp likes him, but admits that it is up to him to realise his potential on the pitch.
Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers secured a deal to sign the forward from Lille last summer and he was immediately loaned back to his former club as part of the deal.
While he didn’t have the greatest of seasons in France, Liverpool still believe in his potential and crucially, new boss Klopp has shown faith in the youngster’s raw ability.
The German also revealed that he wanted to sign the 20-year-old Belgian when he was managing Borussia Dortmund and Origi is pleased to hear that the manager has faith in his potential.
However, he also realises the pressure is on him to prove his potential on the pitch and repay the faith that Klopp and Liverpool have shown in him this season.

The Belgian striker told the club’s official website: "I heard he said he'd been interested in signing me when he was at Borussia Dortmund so that shows that he is aware of my qualities.
"That was nice to hear but eventually it is down to me to show what I can do on the pitch and I have to focus on that.
"Everybody at the club believes in me so I have to work hard and try to maximise every moment of playing time I get."
Origi has made nine appearances this season for the club but is yet to score his first goal for Liverpool.
