Lewis Grabban is fading from the picture as an option for Leeds United, it has been claimed.
The Whites have been linked with the Norwich City forward as they seek to bolster their options ahead of the closure of the emergency loan window.
Head coach Steve Evans, it is claimed, is more likely to sign Grabban's Norwich City team-mate Kyle Lafferty, who has made just two substitute appearances for the Canaries this term.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, a swoop for Grabban is now appearing more and more unlikely.
Instead Lafferty is at the top of Evans' wanted list, along with Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt.

Doing a deal for Bridcutt has proven difficult for Leeds, with competition from Cardiff City and Reading complicating matters.
However, Evans is continuing to hope that an agreement can be reached with Sunderland for Bridcutt to join on loan.
Bridcutt has yet to feature for the Black Cats this season and has had to content himself with Under-21 Premier League action.
