Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero is eager to make his mark in the absence of the injured Joe Hart.
The Argentine is set to play in the next few matches for Manuel Pellegrini’s team as the England number one has been ruled out for ten days with a hamstring injury.
Caballero has made just three Premier League appearances for the club and has remained in Hart’s shadow for the duration of his time at the Etihad.
The 34-year-old joined Manchester City from Malaga in the summer of 2014 and while he admits that he was aware of what he was getting into, he is eager to prove his calibre to the fans and his team-mates.
Caballero told BT Sport: "The most important thing is to try and show myself, all my team-mates and our fans that I can come in.

The Argentine has nothing but praise for the England number one, who he feels is among the best in the world but revealed that he is keen to make the most out of this rare run of games he is set to get in the next week or so.

"When I arrived here I knew I came for this position and I tried to help Joe to improve and he has helped me too. We train really well and I wish him a quick recovery.
