Lovchev told Sovsport when asked about a possible Chelsea move for Promes: “Why not?”

“It’s amazing how Promes is playing at Spartak Moscow, and he could be really helpful for a club like Chelsea.

“Promes has everything; good ball control and has speed, which is a major weapon.

"I can see him performing consistently at a high level. This is the second season in a row he has been one of the stars, I cannot remember a bad game.

“The only drawback is Promes is not a leader.”

Promes also made his debut for the Netherlands last year and has six international caps to his name.
