Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar has issued a strong warning to Tottenham Hotspur, ahead of the Premier League outfit’s trip to Florence for a Europa League game on Thursday.
La Viola warmed up for the Europa League clash by beating Inter Milan 2-1 in Serie A at the weekend, courtesy of Babacar’s injury time goal.
Paulo Sousa’s team are currently unbeaten in their last five league games, winning three of those, meaning they head towards their meeting with Spurs in ominous form.
And Babacar, who expects a tough encounter against Spurs later in the week, is however confident about Fiorentina progressing to the next round of the continental competition at the expense of the north London club.
“Sousa asks for the maximum from us for the whole week and we're doing it. This is the right path and we must continue to work”, he was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.
