Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is not entirely satisfied with Liverpool’s performance in the goalless draw with Augsburg in their Europa League Round of 32 first leg clash last night.
The Reds, who headed into the match on the back of a 6-0 rout of Aston Villa in the Premier League last weekend, failed to find the back of the net at the WWK Arena.
Despite creating some chances, especially in the second half, Liverpool did not manage to break the German team’s defence and the Merseyside giants had to be satisfied with a 0-0 stalemate away from home.
And Klopp, who admitted that his side can play better, wants Liverpool to raise their game for the return leg at Anfield next week.
“One part of it is it’s a draw, a 0-0 in an away game in a Europa League first leg”, he told the club’s official site.

“Everything is OK. But in our situation, I’m always interested in results, but the performance too.
“We had a few great moments, really good play and an early chance in the game. Especially in the second half, there were good moments in possession and good passes.
“There were some other moments we were not happy with – that’s how it is.
“At the end, it’s a 0-0 and I’m not 100 per cent satisfied. We have a chance in the second game, of course, and hopefully we can use it. I want us to play the level we are able to more often.”
Liverpool, who are currently eighth in the Premier League with 38 points from 26 games, nine adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City, will next welcome Augsburg to Anfield on 25th February before taking on the Citizens in the League Cup final at Wembley three days later.
