Lee Erwin has admitted that Leeds United fans deserved more, following the club’s humiliating 4-0 loss at Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday evening, while claiming he is currently in the worst form of his career.
The Yorkshire giants never really settled in the game and found themselves four goals behind by the 38th minute at the American Express Community Stadium.
And Erwin, who came on as a second half substitute in place of Toumani Diagouraga, apologised to the Leeds United fans for the Whites’ woeful display against Brighton.
The 21-year-old forward went on to add that he presently finds himself in the worst possible form, with the Scot insisting that Leeds will try to bounce back from the loss by claiming a positive result against Bolton Wanderers at the weekend.
“Fans deserve more, Apologies for performance, Currently in the worst form iv ever been in” [sic], he tweeted.
