Clinton N'Jie has revealed that he has been receiving words of encouragement from his Tottenham Hotspur team-mate Jan Vertonghen during his injury layoff.
The striker, who joined Spurs from Lyon in the summer, has been out of action since suffering a knee ligament injury during the 4-1 win over Monaco in a Europa League game in December.
N’Jie needed surgery to rectify the problem, with the 21-year-old having recently returned to light training.
On the other hand, Vertonghen also picked up a knee ligament injury in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League in January and has since remained sidelined.
And N’Jie, who admitted that the Belgium international has been trying to cheer him up, also thanked everyone associated with Tottenham for their support and encouragement.
