The Parisians are in the market for a full-back and are considering a number of options this summer before they decide to make a definitive move for a player.

And according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Villa full-back Amavi is one of the names PSG are closely monitoring and they could look to take him to the French capital.

The 23-year-old defender has already confirmed that Villa are prepared to let him leave this summer and PSG sporting director Antero Henrique has already met his representatives to discuss a move.

PSG coach Unai Emery has also closely studied the profile of the Villa defender and tentative negotiations between the player and the club have already begun.

However, the Parisians could face stiff competition from La Liga giants Sevilla for the Villa man’s signature and Amavi has a four-year contract offer on his table from the Spanish club.

The defender is yet to make a decision on his future, but he has the ambition to join a big club and he could be back in France with PSG during the summer transfer window.
