Former Celtic attacking midfielder Kris Commons has branded Neymar "arrogant", "selfish" and "childish" for his refusal to shake Anthony Ralston's hand after Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 Champions League win over the Bhoys.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers handed Ralston his Champions League debut at Parkhead against the French giants and the teenager had a torrid night, along with his team-mates, as Neymar and company ran riot.

Ralston went to shake Neymar's hand after the final whistle as players from both sides shook hands to signal their mutal respect at the end of the game.

But the world-record signing refused to shake Ralston's hand, something Commons argued has shown what type of character Neymar is.

"He showed a lack of respect, it showed him to be immature, childish", Commons said on BBC Sport Scotland Facebook Live.

"It's the sort of thing I expect from him as well because he is that sort of character, very arrogant, confident, on the verge of 'I'm too good to do the normal things'.

"He had no respect for a teenager he was coming up against who was playing in his Champions League debut – he didn't want to shake his hand.

"[He should] just have shown the young boy a bit of respect to say you did your best but your best wasn't good enough", the former Celtic man added.

Ralston, 18, put in a number of physical challenges on Neymar throughout the course of the match as he sought to keep the Brazilian quiet.

Neymar appeared less than pleased and with the score at 3-0, took the opportunity to remind Ralston by holding up three fingers to the teenager.
