West Ham United are set to press the accelerator for the signature of Atletico Madrid winger Nicolas Gaitan, who has also been linked with a move to Swansea City this month.

The 29-year-old winger has struggled for minutes this season at Atletico Madrid and has been linked with a move away from Wanda Metropolitano in the winter window.




He has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League over the last few years and there are suggestions that several English clubs have indeed shown interest in him this month.

Swansea have been heavily rumoured to be after him with new manager Carlos Carvalhal keen to get his hands on the Atletico Madrid man, but they are set to face stiff competition from another Premier League outfit.
 


According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, West Ham are set to pull the trigger on their pursuit of the Atletico Madrid winger and are expected to intensify their efforts in the final days of the winter window.
