Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City target Joao Felix has emerged as Atletico Madrid’s dream signing to replace Antoine Griezmann.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has emerged as one of the top prospects in Europe over the course of a year in Lisbon and Benfica are expected to receive offers.

After only one season at Benfica, he has some of Europe’s top clubs vying for his signature, with the Portuguese giants trying hard to hold on to him for one more year.

Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been linked with Felix, while Juventus are keen on taking him to Serie A.

But according to Madrid-based Spanish daily Marca, Atletico Madrid have identified Felix as their dream target to replace Griezmann at the club next season.

Griezmann has told the Spanish giants that he wants to leave and is expected to join Barcelona, who are ready to pay his €120m release clause.

Atletico Madrid are prepared to reinvest the money in their squad and Felix is their top target.

But Benfica do not want to negotiate a fee for the player and any club wanting to sign him would have to pay his €120m buy-out clause.

The figure is deemed too high for a youngster such as Felix, but Atletico Madrid are mulling over whether to take the gamble on one of Europe’s most coveted young talents.
