European football has been thrown in chaos over the last 48 hours after it emerged that 12 leading European clubs have signed up to form a breakaway Super League.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are the English clubs who signed up to the plans, alongside six clubs from Spain and Italy.

UEFA and FIFA have lambasted the 12 clubs for breaking away, and UEFA president Alexander Ceferin even termed them snakes.

There has been incessant pressure on the club from the fans on their decision to form the breakaway league and it seems all the criticism could bear fruit.

It has been claimed that cracks are developing in the big six of the Premier League and, according to Politico, one of the clubs are seriously considering pulling out of the proposals.

The barrage of criticism seems to be having an effect on the unity of the big six clubs.

It has also been suggested that Manchester United and Liverpool are being blamed for potentially misleading the other four clubs.

The claim has been made by the club in question that Manchester United and Liverpool have lied to them.
