The highly rated teenager’s future at the Camp Nou is under the scanner with him yet to commit to a new deal having entered the final 12 months on his current contract.

Moriba started three of Barcelona’s last four La Liga games last season, but could end up playing football elsewhere in the upcoming term, attracting serious interest from Premier League giants Manchester United, while Chelsea are also claimed to be keeping tabs on him.

Having seen contract negotiations drag on for several months, Blaugrana have tabled their final offer to Moriba to renew his contract but he is yet to respond.

And according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona’s hierarchy are becoming increasingly frustrated over Moriba’s contractual situation and have set him a deadline of next Sunday to take a decision on his future.

The Catalans feel they are doing everything possible to sort out the 18-year-old’s situation at the club while they are not seeing the same level of urgency from his representatives.

Barcelona believe that Moriba’s entourage are trying to buy more time to find him a new home, but his club want a decision from him soon.

Despite interest from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, Barcelona are yet to receive any formal offers for Moriba, who is currently taking part in Barcelona B’s pre-season preparations.
