Burnley are set to return to Premier League action on Monday following the international break and will travel to Merseyside to take on high-flying Everton.

The Clarets earned a 2-1 win the last time they locked horns with the Toffees at Goodison Park in the league and they are aiming to get another positive result come Monday as they search for their first win this term.

Burnley midfielder Westwood has fired a warning to Everton that his team are proper threat to all their top flight rivals when they are in their rhythm.

The 31-year-old added that they know exactly what they need to do to get a good result at Goodison Park and stressed their complete focus will be on getting the job done again, just like they did on their last trip to Everton’s stomping grounds.

While discussing Burnley’s upcoming clash against Everton, Westwood told Sky Sports: “We put in one of our best performances there [at Goodison Park] last year”

“Dwight scored a great goal and we know what’s needed and will focus on what we need to do.

“We’re a threat for any team in the league if we’re on it.

“We never get carried away.

“We knew when the fixtures came out it was always going to be a tough start – you have to play these teams at some stage.

“Last season, we didn’t win until later on in the season, so we all know what’s needed and what we’ve got to do to get ourselves up the table and get wins on the board.”

Everton have had a superb start to their league campaign under new boss Rafael Benitez with two and a draw in three games and they will be determined to keep their undefeated record intact with another win against Burnley.
