Dusan Vlahovic’s arrival at Juventus has made Morata’s future at the Turin club uncertain with suggestions that he could be on his way out before Monday’s transfer deadline.
Barcelona are interested in signing him, but Atletico Madrid, the parent club of the Spaniard, are not keen to strengthen a direct rival in La Liga.
Juventus also have the option of signing the striker on a permanent deal for €35m and then selling him but nothing of that sort is in the works at the moment.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, Tottenham have now moved into the race for the forward and have put in enquiries for him.
Antonio Conte is open to bringing in a striker ahead of Monday’s deadline and the club are probing around Morata.
The Spaniard played under Conte at Chelsea and is believed to be open to a move back to England.
But any deal is likely to be complicated as Atletico Madrid are only expected to consider offers for an outright sale.
They want the €35m they agreed with Juventus when they loaned him out to the Italian club.
