With Erik ten Hag now confirmed to be the Red Devils boss next season, a number of transfer targets have been linked with a move to Old Trafford from his soon-to-be former club Ajax.

One of the names that feature on Manchester United’s shortlist is that of Timber as the Old Trafford outfit look to get out of their slump with changes over the summer.

The Red Devils are not alone in bestowing their attention on Timber though as Bayern Munich are also interested in him.

According to German magazine Sport Bild, scouts from the German giants have been left impressed by the Dutch defender.

Bayern Munich are already closing in on Ajax stars Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch and with Timber they could be on the hunt for a trio of players from the Dutch giants in the summer.

The Red Devils are believed to be in talks with Ajax over signing the young defender, who has 40 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, Manchester United have not been encouraged to sign Timber with Dutch legend Ruud Gullit insisting that he is not ready to play in England.
