Eriksen, who joined the Bees in January on a short-term deal, has been able to impress in the Premier League and they are keen to keep him in their ranks beyond this season.

The Dane is set to be a free agent in the summer and both Newcastle and Everton are keen to snap him up, while his former side Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in him, although they are yet to decide whether to swoop for him.

Eriksen has admitted it will be difficult to choose what he wants to do next in his career, but stressed he will take a decision once he weighs up the pros and cons of all the options available to him.

“Yes of course. It [working out what to do in the future] is always a difficult decision”, Eriksen told Danish broadcaster TV3 while discussing his future.

“Whether you want one thing or another, you will need to weigh up all the positives and negatives.

“And whatever happens, it will be a joint decision with my family.”

Eriksen added that he is having a great time at Brentford, where he has been able to settle in quickly and help them get some positive results in the Premier League.

It has been great.

“The club welcomed me with warmth from day one.

“I have been settling in really fast, and that is what I was dreaming of at the moment.

“The results have also made the feeling around the club very positive, so I am grateful for that.

“They are a club with good people, they are an exciting club.”

It remains to be seen where Eriksen will end up playing next season, with the midfielder currently not short of suitors should he decide to leave the London outfit.
