Wan-Bissaka has become a peripheral figure in the Manchester United squad this season after being a certain starter in his first two years at Old Trafford.

It has been speculated he could be moved on this summer following the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag.

Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace have been strongly linked with wanting to take Wan-Bissaka back to Selhurst Park when the summer transfer window swings open.

It has been suggested they want to do a loan deal, but they face having to meet a strict condition if such an agreement is to happen.

Manchester United would prefer to sell him but it has been suggestions a loan deal could also work for the Red Devils.

However, Manchester United want a realistic option to buy or a mandatory purchase clause as part of any loan agreement.

The club want to avoid the possibility of Wan-Bissaka returning to Old Trafford next year following his loan stint.

Ajax’s Jurrien Timber, who is being pursued by Manchester United, can play both in central defence and at right-back.
