The Hammers failed to seal a top six finish in the Premier League last term and questions were raised about their lack of depth in several positions, including in the striker role.

West Ham boss Moyes is keen to lead his side into a Champions League spot next term and is determined to bolster his squad across the board.

The capital club have already checked off a new centre-back from their list having roped in Nayef Aguerd.

However, the London Stadium is expected to be busy on the transfer front this summer as boss Moyes wants to add at least six new players to his squad, with Aguerd being his first signing.

Moyes wants to raise the overall quality of his squad by bringing in top players, but he is also aware of the need to boost the numbers of his first team contingent.

Striker, central midfield and left-back are key areas Moyes wants to add more depth to, while the club are also confident in snapping up last term’s loan star Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis.

The Hammers are expected to table a bid for Chelsea striker Armando Broja, while free agent Jesse Lingard is another attacking player they are keeping tabs on.
