Ramos’ future at Benfica is under the scanner as host of Premier League clubs are keen on bringing him to England this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Bruno Lage has contacted the Benfica hitman about a possible move to the Midlands while Southampton are also keen on snapping him up.

Newcastle, who have been on the lookout for attacking reinforcements throughout this summer also have the 21-year-old on their transfer radar, in addition to a number of other striker targets while Leeds United have also been linked with interest in him.

It has been claimed that Benfica are open to selling Ramos in the ongoing window as coach Roger Schmidt wants to raise funds to sign an alternative striker option while the Magpies are tipped to be ready to slap in offer in the €30m range for him.

However, the Tyneside giants are yet to act upon their interest in the Portuguese starlet in an official capacity.

Newcastle have so far not made an official move for Ramos, while Chelsea man Armando Broja remains another striker they could snap up this summer.

As it stands Newcastle have several attacking targets on their wish list but they are not close to securing deals for any one of them, with just under two weeks left in the market.
