The attacking midfielder’s future at Atalanta has come under the scanner due to interest from the Premier League.
Nottingham Forest are interested in signing him as part of their plans to carry out a complete overhaul of their squad ahead of the end of the window.
Tottenham are also keen and are now believed to be the favourites to get their hands on the player.
But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Marseille have now joined the dance to sign the Ukrainian from Atalanta.
The French club are in talks with Atalanta and have proposed to them a swap deal involving Cengiz Under moving back to Italy.
The Turkey international is not suited to Igor Tudor’s style and Marseille are now trying to use him as a pawn in their attempts to get the Ukrainian midfielder.
Marseille have also been in conversations with Malinovskyi and his camp to tempt him into moving to France.
