Frank Lampard is on a mission to strengthen his attacking options during this month’s transfer window as Everton fight against relegation from the Premier League.
They are keen to sign Danjuma from Villarreal, with an initial loan deal floated.
Everton face competition for his signature though as both Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest are interested in the Dutchman.
Danjuma played for Bournemouth from 2019 until 2021 and the Cherries are well aware of his abilities.
Villarreal are prepared to let Danjuma go if the deal is right, but are keen to make sure they have a replacement lined up.
Danjuma has enjoyed ten outings in La Liga for Villarreal so far this season, finding the back of the net twice, with a brace against Osasuna.
It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be back in the Premier League by the time the transfer window slams shut.
