Ouattara’s contract with Lorient ends next summer and Everton are interested in bringing the winger to Goodison Park.
The Burkina Faso star has impressed for Lorient in the current season and Everton submitted an offer for him earlier this month, which was rejected as not enough by the French side.
Everton have rivals in their pursuit for the 20 year-old, most prominently Bournemouth, and the Cherries now look to have snatched him away.
Bournemouth have come to an agreement with Lorient and are a few details away from securing Ouattara’s signature, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.
The Cherries are close to bringing in the Everton target for a fee of around €27.5m, which also includes bonuses.
Bournemouth are one of Everton’s relegation rivals at this stage of the season and it remains to be seen if landing Ouattara can tilt the survival scales in their favour.
Ouattara has missed just one Ligue 1 match for Lorient this season, scoring six goals along with providing the same number of assists in 18 matches.
