The former Wolves defender had an impressive World Cup with Morocco and has again attracted attention from the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest are interested in taking him to the City Ground today as part of Steve Cooper’s plans to reinforce his defensive options.

The Midlands club even tabled a bid with Besiktas but the Turkish giants rejected their €2.5m offer for the centre-back.

Saiss has been left frustrated and according to Turkish broadcaster A Spor, he has withdrawn himself from the starting eleven against Karagumruk.

The game is set to kick off at 5pm and the defender has been named on the bench by Besiktas.

It is unclear whether this will have an effect as time is rapidly running out for any deal to get agreed upon.

It remains to be seen whether Saiss’ refusal to be in the Besiktas starting eleven forces the Turkish giants to sell him in the coming hours.
