Manchester United kept their European hopes alive when they beat Barcelona on Thursday night to progress to the round of 16 of the Europa League.

The Red Devils will have a chance to add silverware to their cabinet for the first time in six years when they take on Newcastle United in the EFL Cup final at Wembley on Sunday.

They have an FA Cup fifth-round clash against West Ham next Wednesday night and many feel they have an outside chance of winning the Premier League this season as well.

Garcia’s former club Liverpool took their bid for four trophies right to the end of the season and ended up with the EFL Cup and FA Cup last term.

But Garcia in contrast does not feel that Manchester United will end up winning any of the four competitions they remain involved in.

The former Liverpool star said on ESPN FC: “I think none, at the end it is not going to happen.

“There are a lot of expectations and to be honest, what they have got in front there is a lot of pressure.

“In the last part of the season, they have got so many things that at the end sometimes when you swim and swim and swim, you die when you arrive at the coast.

“At the end, they are not going to get any trophies.”

Manchester United have not added a trophy to their cabinet since winning the Europa League in 2017.
