Scamacca had a difficult first season at West Ham and is keen to return to Italy this summer as he looks to get back on track.

Roma are interested in signing him and have already held talks with West Ham over signing the forward this summer.

But West Ham are only prepared to sell him while Roma are looking to sign the forward on loan with an option to buy.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, Scamacca is patiently waiting for Roma to get their act together and push to sign him.

The forward wants to return to Italy and Roma are his preferred option of club if he is to leave West Ham.

He has more or less given his word to Roma but is now keen to see the Serie A giants keep their end of the bargain.

AC Milan are also interested in Scamacca and are considering signing him from West Ham this summer.

Roma are keen to sign the forward but have been biding their time to see whether West Ham agree to loan him out.
